Fascia stretching
Fascia responds to slow, long holds. These stretches follow the main lines of Fascia in the body.

How to stretch Fascia
Hold each stretch for one to two minutes rather than 20 seconds, breathe slowly and ease further as the tissue gives. Avoid bouncing.

Five stretches along the lines
One for each main line:
- Back line: a slow forward fold with soft knees
- Front line: lying over a cushion with arms overhead
- Lateral line: a standing side bend with the arm overhead
- Spiral line: a slow lying twist, knees to one side
- Deep front line: a half kneeling hip flexor stretch with a long exhale
Reviews
Fascia stretching reviews
It opened my body up loads to where I could train harder for longer, and recover faster. I've sent people to James with fibromyalgia, back pain, sciatica and everyone has been helped.
He explained with videos and proof exactly what was going on in my body. He told me all about fascia. I picked my right hip and thigh. Just after 20 minutes there was no pain and no stiffness.

Questions
Fascia stretching: questions answered
Is fascia stretching different from normal stretching?
The holds are longer and slower, and follow whole lines rather than single muscles.
Should it hurt?
No. A strong, comfortable stretch is right.
Can it replace treatment?
It complements hands on work and helps the change last.
