Shoulder pain
How myofascial release for shoulder pain works
The shoulder depends on the tissue around it to move freely. When the chest, the front of the shoulder and the Fascia of the arm tighten, the shoulder blade tips forward and reaching overhead or behind the back becomes harder and achier. Releasing that tissue gives the joint room to move again.

Session
Your myofascial release session for shoulder pain
Reach overhead, across the body and behind the back is measured on both sides. James works from the hand and forearm to the upper arm, the chest and front of the shoulder, the rotator cuff and the muscles around the shoulder blade. Reach is checked again at the end.
Between sessions
Keeping your shoulders moving between sessions
Stand in a doorway with your forearms on the frame and lean gently forward for 30 seconds to open the chest. Slow arm circles and sliding the hand up a wall to a comfortable height keep the shoulder moving without strain.
A tennis ball between the shoulder blade and a wall, leaning for a minute, keeps the muscles around the blade supple.
Reviews
Myofascial release for shoulder reviews
My shoulder was worked on for 20 minutes and I can now move my arm the best I've been able to for as long as I can remember.
It opened my body up loads to where I could train harder for longer, and recover faster. I've sent people to James with fibromyalgia, back pain, sciatica and everyone has been helped.
