How scar massage and scar tissue massage help
Scars from surgery, caesarean sections or injury can bind the skin to the Fascia beneath, creating pulling, tightness or a restricted feeling well beyond the scar itself. Gentle myofascial release encourages the scar and surrounding layers to glide again.

Session
Your session for scar tissue
Scars are treated only once fully healed and with your surgeon's or GP's agreement. The scar and the tissue around it are worked with light, slow pressure, then the line it sits on is released.
Between sessions
Caring for a healed scar at home
Once your scar has healed and you have been given the go ahead, gentle scar massage with a little unscented cream helps it stay mobile. Use two fingers to move the skin over the scar slowly in small circles and along its length, for a few minutes a day.
Keep new scars out of strong sun for the first year, as they can darken.
